Samsung Products for the Kitchen of the Future

Technological advancements in Samsung products have made it possible to build the kitchen of the future today. We may have to wait a little longer for wireless electricity that is sent via transmitters located under the counter to eliminate the need for electrical cords. We’ll also have to wait a little longer for cabinetry that can change color, play recorded television shows, and play movies with the flip of a switch.
What is available now are Samsung products that add high tech to the kitchen while making cooking easier, saving resources, and keeping food fresher longer. These appliances include:

The New Samsung Refrigerators

The new line of Samsung refrigerators, in addition to its gorgeous design and increased storage capacity, runs eight different apps via a touch screen computer on its front door. These apps include:

* A Google Calendar – The touch screen appears once the calendar app is selected
* A Memo Pad – This app uses the touch screen as well and allows notes to be hand-written with a fingertip or a stylus pen
* A photo slideshow that runs while other apps aren’t in use
* Read-only Twitter access
* Pandora access
* Epicurious – A huge library of recipes
* Weatherbug
* A news feed via Associated Press

Samsung’s New Line of Microwave Ovens

These microwave ovens were a 2012 “CES Innovations Award” winner in the eco-design category. This over the range model features:

* Energy-saving LED lighting
* Eco Mode, which reduces phantom power usage
* Samsung’s proprietary easy to clean enamel interior

The Flex Duo Oven

The Flex Duo Oven, which starts off with almost 6 cubic feet of cooking space, can be divided into two separate ovens using Samsung’s Smart Divider Technology. This allows for preparation of two different dishes at different temperatures with no intermixing of aromas.

An induction cook top, using magnets to heat pots and pans, heats meals quickly and more evenly than either gas or electric models. The flexible configuration of the cooktop also allows for efficient cooking with larger pots and pans that would not fit on standard cooktops.

With the introduction of new Samsung products for the kitchen, the future is available today. For more information on building your kitchen of the future, visit: http://jessupsappliances.com/index.html

Kitchen High Tech with New Samsung Products

Refrigerators can now do a lot more than keep your food cold and keep your ice tray full. Specifically, the most exiting of the new Samsung products for the kitchen are their new refrigerators that are supported by Wi-Fi and offer 8 apps that range from social media to monitoring the weather.

The refrigerator apps are accessed using an LCD screen that measures an easy to view 8 inches, located above the exterior ice and water dispenser. Samsung has designed a handful of the apps, while the balance of them comes from familiar sites from around the web. Here is a description of the 8 apps, some of which will be put into use on a daily basis for new owners:

  • Photos – This application is set up to have images uploaded directly from a Wi-Fi enabled camera or device. A slide can then be set up to run on the screen when other apps are not in use.
  • Calendar – This is a logical and useful app to track appointments, game times, meetings and more while pouring the morning cup of coffee. Notes are added to the Calendar using a touch screen that pops up when the Calendar app is selected.
  • Memos – Like the Calendar, having a Memos application on the fridge puts it in a convenient place where family members can see what’s needed at the store, when dinner will be served, etc. Notes are done by touch screen on this app as well.
  • Epicurious – This is a library of recipes that can be searched by either a keyword (ex. lasagna) or a list of ingredients. The ingredient search comes in very handy in situations where the refrigerator has a scattering of different food items.
  • Weatherbug – This app provides current weather conditions as well as forecasts.
  • AP Newswire – This allows for news surfing while in the kitchen
  • Pandora – This app doesn’t allow for customization of radio channels directly, but it can be done via a mobile device or through your desktop computer and then uploaded to the refrigerator app.
  • Twitter – Like the Pandora app, the Twitter refrigerator app doesn’t allow for interaction likes posting Tweets, etc. You can log in to read ongoing threads but you’ll have to hit your smart phone to participate.

As the innovations in new Samsung products like the LCD refrigerator continue, the role of appliances will expand from that of a kitchen tool to one that facilitates connections with the family and the web. For more information, visit: http://jessupsappliances.com/index.html

Getting the Best Bosch Dishwasher for Your Needs

Getting the best Bosch dishwasher for your needs can save both money and time over the long run. Actually, the nice thing at this point is that you have already made your first great decision due to the high level of quality across the entire line of Bosch dishwashers. In fact, the award winning Bosch line of dishwashers has been recognized each year for excellence in design, energy conservation and customer satisfaction by the likes of J.D Power, Energy Star, Consumer’s Digest, and many more.

The first step in determining the best Bosch dishwasher for your needs is to decide on the amount you want to spend on this cornerstone appliance. If you have done any research prior to this junction, you will have seen that Bosch dishwashers may cost a little more than their competitors but, according reviews within the industry, these machines are well worth it. You can also save a little money by narrowing your search to “Energy Star” qualified machines which can result in rebates redeemable either at the time of purchase or online. Call your Bosch dealer to see where and when these rebates may be available.

The second step in your decision process should focus on how the machine will be used. Usage assessments can include:

  • The number of family members the appliance will serve – Buying a dishwasher that is too small can result in multiple loads that can unnecessarily run up water and power usage.
  • The frequency of usage – Some households may take days to fill a dishwasher while others may load up twice a day. High frequency usage can dictate the purchase of a larger capacity dishwasher to reduce the number of wash loads necessary to keep up with dirty dishes, silverware, pots, and pans.
  • The items that typically end up in the dishwasher – Heavy pot and pan usage will require a different rack configuration and different settings than one where plates and glasses are the only items that are loaded into the dishwasher.

Due to the many options available, families can find the best Bosch dishwasher for their circumstances, regardless of their anticipated level of use. For more information on the Bosch line of dishwashers, visit: http://jessupsappliances.com/

Choosing the Best Option Between Local Appliance Dealers

Choosing the best option between appliance dealers can be just as important as choosing the right appliance for your needs. Generally speaking, there are three types of appliance dealers from which you can buy major appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, dryers, washing machines, etc. They are:

1) The big box stores like Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, etc. – These stores typically have a multiple of options for each type of appliance on their sales floor. Unless you have done all the research on your own and have made your decision on the make and model of the appliance that will best suit your needs, you will probably want to have a conversation with a knowledgeable professional to determine to best appliance for your needs. Whether that type of person is available depends on the time of day, how busy the store is, and whether the store hires people with appliance expertise or not.

2) Online appliance stores – While the vast majority of people shopping for appliances still prefer to shop in a physical location, appliances can be purchased online through a variety of websites offering either a single brand or a variety of them. Much like the big box stores, getting advice and guidance on the appliance that will ultimately work best for you can be hit or miss at best. Additionally, the reason most people still prefer shopping in a store is to see the appliance, check colors, etc. That experience isn’t available for online shoppers, who see their purchase for the first time when they open the box on its arrival.

3) Appliance CentersAppliance centers differ from big box stores in that, rather than being spread out over apparel, electronics, lawn and garden, etc., they specialize in appliances only. Appliance retailers carry multiple brand lines, selecting the top performers in each appliance category. This specialization enables the staff to become very familiar with each appliance, knowledge which can be shared with shoppers trying to determine their best appliance choice in terms of their budget and usage patterns. Appliance centers will also differentiate themselves from their competitors by offering a more personal shopping and customer service experience.

Appliance purchases are typically made for the long term, making it essential to buy the right one the first time around. Getting expert guidance and post-purchase support is a great way to make sure that happens. For more information, visit: http://jessupsappliances.com/index.html
